Lucy Ella Hundley
Mrs Lucy Ella Hundley, 89, of Rt. 1. Bassett, died Tuesday at her home. She was born in Patrick County on March 20, 1898, to the late James T. Foley and the late Martha Law Foley. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Hundley. She was a member of Riverview Primitive Baptist Church for 67 years.
Survivors Include, two daughters,Mrs. Jerry "Shirley" Coleman of Collinsville. Mrs.Virginia H. Gilbert of Bassett; seven sons, Brooster Hundley of Henry, James Albert Hundley of Bassett, Ernest Lee Hurley of Bassett.
Cecil Hundley of Eden, N.C, Major Hundley of Rocky Mount, Luther Hundley of Collinsville and Elmer Hundley of Bassett; three sisters. Mrs. Delia Massey and Mrs. Myrtle Lawless, both of Stuart, and Mrs. Gay Hall of Bassett; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great- grandchild.
The funeral will be held 2 pm. Thursday at the Collins Funeral Home chapel with Elders John Wingfield and Leonard Brammer officiating. Burial will be In Old Center Primitive Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Collins Funeral chapel from 7 to 9: p.m.today, Memorials may be made to the Bassett Rescue Squad.
