Paul Carlisle was a merchant residing in Seneca, Missouri with his wife Helen, when he met an untimely fate.
He was beaten and manhandled in his home at Seneca, Newton County, Missouri about March 6th, 1956 by person or persons unknown at the time of the investigation into his death.
He was taken to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri to be treated for pulmonary edema, fractures of the ribs and multiple contusions suffered in the beating. He also had a prior condition of artero-sclerosis. He died 1 week after being taken there.
His death was ruled a homicide.
