Edna Mae (Hogan) Chelf-Baylous

Edna Mae (Hogan) Chelf-Baylous, 60, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood and a former resident of Franklin.

She was born July 11, 1939, in Barren County, Ky. Her father was Jess Willard Hogan. Her mother is Zona Mae (Oliver) Hogan of Franklin. She married James Dennis Chelf on May 31, 1962. He preceded her in death May 6, 1994. She married Winford D. "Wink" Baylous on Dec. 24, 1995. He survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Angela J. McClure of Shelbyville; three sons, Ron J. Chelf and Scot D. Chelf, both of Greenwood, and Todd R. Chelf of Indianapolis; one brother, Jimmie W. Hogan of Franklin; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Nalley.

She was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School and was employed for the last 10 years as a secretary for the Indiana State Police Department. She previously was a Realtor for Jim Chelf Realty and B & C Realty & Development Co. in Franklin. She was a consultant for Home Interiors of Franklin and Greenwood.

She was a member of Franklin Church of Christ.

Mark Phillips will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Franklin Church of Christ. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
