M-2 to John Gott, whose son John was to marry her daughter, Hannah Tarbox, a decade later.
John Gott of Hebron (34215051) married 2nd Eleanor (Dodge) Tarbox after her husband Jonathan's death. Eleanor was probably born about 1672, daughter of Richard and Mary (Eaton) Dodge. She married Jonathan Tarbox about 1693, most likely in Lynn, Massachusetts. Jonathan and Eleanor had seven children, all born in Lynn. Jonathan probably died around 1717, because on September 29, 1718, his widow Eleanor announced her intention to marry John Gott of Hebron, whose 1st wife had been
Elizabeth.
John Gott may have returned to Lynn to marry Eleanor Tarbox, and brought her back to Hebron, or she and Jonathan may have already moved to Hebron.. She brought three of her unmarried daughters with her; Hannah, Mary and Sarah, who all married later in Hebron. One of them, Hannah, married John Gott Jr., the son of her step-father and his first wife.
