GEORGE A. BLACK DEAD
Retired Employe of Standard Oil Company Dies of Heart Trouble

Mr. George Allen Black, 57, retired Standard Oil Co., employe, died last night at 10:30 o'clock at his home, 1046 west Main street, of heart trouble from which he had suffered for seven years.

Mr. Black, a son of George W. and Martha Alice Kennison Black, had spent his entire life in Madison. For thirty-two years and three months he had been an employee of the Standard Oil company, having retired last summer when he suffered a severe heart attack. At the time he resigned, he was serving as a driver of one of the company's trucks.

Mr. Black was married July 18, 1915 to Martha E. Kennens, of Ripley county.

He is survived by a son, George Kennens, and a brothers, Samuel K. Black, of West Madison. He leaves also two nieces, Miss Luella Black, a teacher at Eggleston school, and Mrs. Wesley Bear, of Glendale, California.

Mr. Black held membership in the West Madison M. E. church, the Masons, Odd Fellows and K. of P. lodges.

Friends are invited to call at the Black residence. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
