Mrs. Stowe was born in New Bern, daughter of the late Sanford A. and Addie Wilson Neese. She was the wife of William Monroe Stowe, Sr. of the home.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Hatteras United Methodist Church, Hatteras Island Chapter #303 Order of the Eastern Star where she was Past Worthy Matron.
Surviving with her husband are three daughters: Eloise Glonek and Belle Austin, both of Hatteras, and Natalie Swindell of Goldsboro; one son, William Monroe Stowe, Jr. of Frisco; 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 20 in the Hatteras United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Cullop and Dwight Burrus. Burial followed in the Quidley Cemetery, Buxton.
