Mr. Capley was born in Williamson County, the son of the late William Vance and Evie Jane Martin Capley. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a vinyl worker with Ford Glass Plant for 29 1/2 years. He also was a member and deacon with Grassland Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Taylor Capley of Franklin; sons, Johnny Ray Capley and wife, Wanda, of Nolensville, Anthony Capley and wife, Martha, of Nashville, Garry Capley of Nashville, Larry Capley and wife, Dalana, of Franklin; daughters, Vickie Whaley and husband, Bob, of Murfreesboro, Vanessia Crook and husband, Chuck, of Gallatin, Tenn.; sisters, Mildred Sullivan and husband, Linden, of Columbia, Tenn., Yvonne Myers and husband, Joe, of Estell Springs, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Cal Cooper and Rev. Rusty Trotter officiating. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Grassland Heights Baptist Church. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. today, Dec. 23, at the funeral home.
