- EDGEMOOR - Mrs. Betty Jean Douglas Buckson of 3740 Fescue Road died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
- The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Red Oak AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
- Mrs. Buckson was a native of Chester County. She was an employee at Lewisville Elementary School and a member of Red Oak AME Zion Church, where she was on the Usher Board and choir. She attended York County public schools.
- Surviving are her husband, Tommy Lee Buckson; her son, Tommy N. Buckson of Rock Hill; her daughter, Doris Heath of Charlotte; her mother, Mable L. Douglas of Rock Hill; four brothers, Willie Douglas and McArthur Douglas, both of Rock Hill, and Ernest Douglas and Donald Douglas, both of Edgemoor; and four grandchildren.
- The body may be viewed from5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Friday.
