Miss Lou Campbell married John P. Dunagan on 13 November 1892 at Springtown, Parker County, Texas.
Funeral services for Mrs. J.P. Dunagan were held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. H.H. Hunter, pastor officiating. Rev. W.H. Townsend, pastor of First Baptist church assisted.
Mrs. Dungan died at her home, 1-1/2 miles southwest of Olney. She was confined to her bed for a week. She died of paralysis and pneumonia.
She was married 47 years ago at Springtown and came with her husband to Young County in 1903. They established their first home near the city limits of Olney. She was an active member of the church from early childhood.
Eleven children were born to this union, one died in infancy. All of the 10 children were present at the time of her death.
Survived by her husband; children - Mrs. Frank Jewel of Dayton, TN; Mrs. Bill Herrod, Mrs. Marshall Mays of Lott, Mrs. Bennie Ware of Jermyn, Mrs. Clester Evans, Mrs. James Sloan, Johnie Dungagan, Joe Dunagan, Bert Dunagan, Roy Dunagan, all of Olney; two sisters - Mrs. Adophus Erwin of Poolville, Mrs. Tom Leath of Fort Worth; three brothers - G.R. Campbell of Olney, Joe Campbell and Sid Campbell, both of Loco, OK; half-brother - James "Jim" Burrows of Salt Lake City, UT; 22 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were: Joe Parsley, Albert Ragle, Gerald Groves, Mark Campbell, Clarence Stowe, Doyle Evans.
