Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Ray will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in New Hope Baptist Church, Calcasieu with Reverends Bobby Gilstrap and Wilkie Richmond officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Ray, 95, of Calcasieu entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 20, 2005 in Naomi Heights Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ray, and her daughter Yvonne Miller
Mrs. Ray was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include: her son, Jodie Ray of Elmer, two daughters, Elaine Wallace of Elmer, and Melba Little of Bossier City, one sister, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at New Hope Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2005 and from 8:00a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, March 22, 2005.
