Danes, Marjorie L. 88, of Shelby, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2007 at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility. She was born Oct. 10, 1919 to Charles Frederick Young and Mabel Latcherway Young. She lived in Big Rapids before moving to Montague in 1953 and later to Shelby in 1961. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo Danes, sons, Orville Cottrill, Jr., of Ferry and Larry Cottrill of Knoxville, Tenn. She leaves behind a large family who loved her dearly; her children, Chuck (Shirley) Cottrill of Three Rivers, Robert (Connie) Cottrill of Niles, Betty (Ed) Wolven of Rockford, Susan (Fred) Baxter of Hesperia, Fran Eitniear of Hesperia, James Danes of Ferry, Dale (Julie) Danes of New Era and Valerie Campbell of Ludington; 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was employed at Pentwater Wire Products for 27 years before her retirement. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
