Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the First National Funeral Home chapel at Winnsboro, with the Rev. Fred Heifner Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Legion Memorial Cemetery at Newellton, under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
He was a native of Walker, and was a member of the St. Joseph Baptist Church. He was a retired lumberman.
Mr. Vickers is survived by his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Melba Bourgoies of Houma and Mrs. Janie Hebert of Thibodaux; four brothers, Wendell Vickers of St. Joseph, Dwight Vickers and Rine Vickers, both of Baton Rouge, and Doc Vickers of Orange, Tex., and a number of nieces and nephews.
