Grandmother Elizabeth TIPTON died at the Tipton homestead in Newcastle township, Sunday, aged 79 years and 8 months. She was the consort of Joshua TIPTON, who died four years ago and they were the parents of nine children, seven of these children are still living, together with 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Deceased was a pioneer member of Yellow Creek Baptist church and was ever faithful as a wife, mother, friend, neighbor and christian. The funeral was preached by Rev. COOK, of this city, and the congregation of neighbors and friends was unusually large.
