OBITUARY

PAMPA, Aug. 29 - C. S. BOYD, a Pampa resident for 32 years, died at his home, 520 N. Dimmer [sic], Wednesday night. Funeral services are pending with Duenkel-Carmichael Funeral Home.

Mr. BOYD, 83, was born July 28, 1874, in Williamson County and moved to Pampa from Plainview in 1925. He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice BOYD of Pampa; two sons, Tom of Panhandle, and Jack of Kellerville; three daughters, Mrs. Ada HEMPHILL and Mrs. Ina WEBB, both of Pampa, and Mrs. Alma KUYKENDALL of Amarillo; one brother, Wash of Burnett; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

C. S. BOYD, 520 N. Zimmer, died at his home at 6:50 last night.

Mr. BOYD was born July 28, 1874, in Leander and came to Pampa in 1925 from Plainview. He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for 40 years.

In 1898, he was married to Mary Alice DENNIS of Burnett, who survives him. Other survivors are two sons, Tom of Panhandle and Jack of Greenville; three daughters, Mrs. Ada HEMPHILL, Mrs. Ina WEBB, both of Pampa, and Mrs. Alma KUYKENDALL, Amarillo; one brother, Wash of Burnett; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Highland Baptist Church with M.B. Smith, pastor, officiating.

Pallbearers will be Everett COLE, A. H. McPEAK, Henry MAPLES, Raymond DALTON, Orville HEISKELL, and Leroy ALLEN.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery directed by Duenkel-Carmichael Funeral Home.
