Born July 23, 1925 in South Hanover Township, Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Nelson J. and Margaret M. (Bonawitz) Alleman.
She retired from Hershey Foods Corporation and was a member of Charlton United Methodist Church, Harrisburg and Chocolate Workers Union Local 464.
The widow of Lester F. Derr, who died July 27, 2006, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Roger Alleman, Martin Alleman and Walter Alleman.
Surviving are brothers, Nelson Alleman of Perry County and John Alleman of Hummelstown; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held 9:30 – 10:30 AM Friday, January 21, 2011 at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown followed by an 11:00 AM graveside service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 4855 Londonderry Road, Harrisburg.
