Coley Edwin Baker, owner of Roosevelt-Baker Photo Company, age 81, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2000 after a lengthy illness. A veteran of WWII, he was a member of First Baptist Church and organized the Charter of the Corpus Christi Civitan Club and a founding member of the Corpus Christi Chapter, Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Imogene Shepherd Baker; his daughter, Sandra McNorton of Corpus Christi; his son, Bennett Allen (Beverly) Baker of Effort, Pennsylvania; a sister, Minnie Pipkin of Florence, Texas; and six grandchildren: Lisa O'Connor of Austin, Texas, Dawn Steinecker of Houston, Texas and Toby, Todd, Zeke and Zachary Baker of Effort, Pennsylvania and numerous nieces and nephews.
