John Russell "Jack" Durham, 80, of Rolfe Ave., died Oct. 26, 1996. Mr. Durham was a native of Norfolk and a 1938 graduate of Davidson College. He retired as vice president of sales with Batchelder and Collins Inc., after 35 years with the company. He was a lifelong member and elder of the Knox Presbyterian Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Gigi" Brandon Durham; a son, John Russell Durham Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Mabel D. Harrison of Dover, Del.; and two grandchildren, Robert Brandon Durham, 18, and Owen Clark Durham, 15.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Knox Presbyterian Church by the Rev. J. Ewing Brown, the Rev. David Humphreys and the Rev. George "Jeff" Heath. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church, 427 W. 37th St., Norfolk 23508. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel.
