ALANTHA V. KLECKA


Alantha V. Klecka, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2006, at Woodmont Health Center. She was born in Fredericksburg on August 20, 1909, to the late James and Ada Gallahan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton Charles Klecka.

Following retirement from Riverside Nursing Home, she made her home for 31 years with her daughter, Marie A. Thomas and son-in-law, John C. "Root" Thomas.

She is also survived by a granddaughter, Michele Griffin and husband John , and grandson, Chris Thomas and wife, Melissa; three great grandchildren, Cameron Vida, Colby Thomas, and Emily Griffin, all of Stafford County, a niece, Catherine Villaverde of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and several other nieces and nephews.

"Granny" will be especially remembered for her love of music and playing the piano and her many hours of playing ball with her grandson and fixing after school snacks.

Convenant Funeral Service with Rev. Jack A. Marcom, Jr. Pallbearers will be Chris Thomas, John Griffin, Tony Berry, Dale Hibner, Stuart Herndon, and George Thomas.
