Funeral rites for Noble Ernest Truex, 54, prominent Chili business man, who was found dead in bed at his home Wednesday, will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Chili Baptist church.
The Rev. C. F. Golden will officiate. Burial will be in the Chili cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 1:30 p.m. Friday to lie in state for an hour prior to the services. The body may be viewed at the residence.
Survivors include the aged mother, Mrs. Mary E. Truex, Nappanee, and two children, William Truex and Mrs. Clyde Vining, both of Chili. He was twice married, first to Mabel Ecker, in 1909, and on January 5, 1929, to Velma Coon, who died last September.
Surviving also are the following brothers and sisters: Jesse Truex, Great Lakes; Arthur Truex, Ridgeville; Mrs. Marvin Brisk, Waukosha, Wis., Mrs. Ervin Bechthel, Elkhart, and Esther Truex, Nappanee.
Mr. Truex had lived in Chili for the last seven years having moved there from Wabash. He operated the Chili Mill and an elevator at Deedsville. He was a former president of the Denver Lions club, a past Master of Mexico Masonic Lodge and a member of the Royal Arch Masonic Chapter, of Peru. He was a member of the Brethren church at Nappanee.
