"My lineage goes back to the Peter Baccus who died in 1785 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. I am the 6xgreat granddaughter and seventh-generation Texan because the Baccus family came to Texas in 1842 before it was admitted to the Union. My mother is Brooksie Dolores Baccus, one of the daughters of Jasper Baccus, my grandfather. My grandfather's father was Patrick Henry Baccus, known as "Pat" and sometimes just "P.H." Patrick was the only child born to Godfrey Smythe Baccus, which you'll see in records as "Godfrey Baccus", "Godfrey S. Baccus", and sometimes "G.S. Baccus". He is not to be confused with his grandson, Godfrey." - Sandra Baccus, formerly Riley
