Agripina Mauricio Alba, age 77, died at her home in Midvale on April 13, 1991.

She was born May 30, 1913 in Rio Escondido, Coahuila, Mexico to Julian Mauricio Arellano and Santiaga Rios Zaragoza. She married Sabino Alba Cruz in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 20, 1974. Agripina has served for over 50 years as a visiting teacher for the Relief Society and also as a nursery leader during MIA. She received her LDS Temple endowments in 1950 and has remained active in temple work since that date. She is an expert at crocheting and knitting and has made hundreds of pieces and has taught many to crochet. She has also made many quilts. Agripina brought up her seven children in the church and all seven are faithful and active.

Survivors: husband, Sabino Alba Cruz, Midvale; children, Mrs. Daniel (Beatriz) DeLaCruz, Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Victoriano (Amparo) Torres, Eagle Pass, Texas; Mrs. Bert H. (Diamantina) Parry, Brigham City; Rosa Amelia Alba, Midvale; Raul Alba, Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; Israel Alba, West Jordan; Mrs. Marcial (Martha Alicia) DeLaCruz, Midvale; 34 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson; brother, Alberto Mauricio Rios, Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18, 1991, at 11 a.m. in the Midvale 9th LDS Ward Chapel, 642 Jackson St. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9-10:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
