Wife of William Henry Crain (1847-1904). Nancy and William Crain were married on January 21, 1889. Nancy's first husband was William Henry Basinger (1849-1886). Nancy and William Basinger were married about 1867. Nancy's children with William Basinger included: Maurice Basinger, Thomas Davis Basinger, Robert Jasper Basinger, Martin L. Basinger, Elnora Ellen "Nora" Basinger and Ollie Belle (Basinger) Holtzhouser. Nancy's children with William Crain included Albert Crain born in 1890. Nancy was the daughter of Benjamin D. and Nancy Howell.

In the 1900 census, Nancy stated that she had been the mother of eleven children, three living in 1900. The three children that were living in 1900 were Elnora Basinger, Ollie Belle (Basinger) Holtzhosuer and Arthur Crain.
