Ray Franklin Strawderman, 78, of Moorefield, died Feb. 16, in Petersburg.

Born June 18, 1922, in Hardy County, he was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Bernie E. (Helmick) Strawderman.

Mr. Strawderman is survived by his wife, Rada Mae (Crites) Strawderman; two sons, James Strawderman of Moorefield and Less J. Crites of Timberville, Va.; one foster son, Tommy Thompson of Moorefield; one daughter, Maxine L. Miller of Cortland, Ohio; three sisters, Rose Hardy and Stella Wratchford, both of Moorefield, and Evelyn Dawson of Winchester, Va.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Feb. 19, at the Fraley Funeral Home chapel, Moorefield, with interment in the Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield. (2/20)
