Funeral services for Julia Ann Adcock, 81, of Rayville, LA, will be held at First Baptist Church Archibald, at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Brother John Cleveland will officiate. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Rayville under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adcock was born April 3, 1929, in Mount Gilead, NC, and passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan Eugene Roberts and Lola Maynor Roberts Spells, three sisters, one brother, and her infant son, David.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James O. Adcock, Sr.; her children, Deborah and Jim Cuthbert of Monroe, James O. Adcock, Jr., Susan Adcock Romero both of Rayville, and William Adcock of West Monroe. Her grandchildren are Laura and Andy Boothe, Jay and Christy Cuthbert, Sarah Cuthbert, Joey Foreman, Clinton Adcock, Clark Adcock, Jacob Romero, Brad Adcock, and Kristen Adcock. She has 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, J.F. Roberts and wife, Dorothy of Urania, brother-in-law, D.C. McIntyre, sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Tate and Bobbi Adcock, and many nieces and nephews.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The foundations of her life were her faith, her family, her church, her flowers, and her music. She lived a life of service and her hands were never idle.

Visitation will be at Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday evening, January 24, 2011. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Archibald, LA 71218.
