MILTENBERGER -- Mrs. Mary (Akers), 74, died in Chico, Calif., April 1, 1949. Born in Johnstown Nov. 3, 1874, daughter of Alvar and Catherine (Gahr) Akers. Widow of William Grant Miltenberger, who died in 1935. Leaves four children -- Miriam Miltenberger, New York City; William, Kelso, Wash.; Henry, Johnstown, and John, Berkeley, Calif.; two sisters, Amanda Akers, San Francisco, and Amelia Akers, Chico, Calif. Sister, Alice Rose, died three years ago in Chico, Calif. Graduate of West Chester Normal School and former teacher. Active in art circles in Johnstown. Body to arrive in Johnstown Wednesday. Friends received in H.M. Picking Sons Mortuary after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Service: 9 a.m. Thursday, Church of Visitation, Rev. Father James B. Hebron; burial, Grandview Cemetery.
