GLENDALE, Ariz. - Billy M. "Bill" Owen, 80, passed away Jan. 15, 2011, in Glendale with his wife of 49 years, Mary L., by his side.
Surviving besides his wife are sons Garry (Akiko) Owen, Highland Park, N.J., and Bradley Owen, Palm Bay, Fla.; nieces Debbie (Clarence) Bierwiler, Collegeville, Pa., and Kathie Edwards, Rocky Face, Ga.; nephew Tom (Jinger) Lane, Maitland, Fla.; great-nephew Larry Rohrbach; great-niece Lexie Edwards; great-great-nephew Anthony Rohrbach; sister-in-law Barbara Lane; and many cousins and friends.
He was born in Galesburg, Ill., and moved to Arizona in 1962 where he worked as a mechanic, police officer for the town of Goodyear and State Capital Police. Later he had his own mobile home repair service, B & M Fix-It, before retiring.
There will be no service. Cremation was handled by Advantage Maryville Funeral Services. Memorial or donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
