WEBB, ERNEST (ERNIE) LANGFORD, age 59 , died at his home in Oakdale on Thursday October 4th. He was a former employee of Southern Railway. Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Carney and Mrs. T.C. Wallace of Indianapolis, Ind., and Miss Daisy Webb of Oakdale; one brother, W. A. Webb or Mossy Grove, one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Bear of Indianapolis, Ind. Funeral services were held on October 7 at 2 P.M. at the Oakdale Methodist Church were he was a member. Rev. E.F. Wood, pastor of Oakdale Baptist Church officiated; burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery. [Morgan County News, 10-11-1951]

Attending the funeral of Mr. Ernest Webb here on Sunday, were Mr. & Mrs. R.J. Carney, Mr. & Mrs. T.C. Wallace, Norman Carney, Pat Webb, Mrs. Ethel Bear and Sonny Bear, all of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Mary Byrd, Oscar Collins and Mrs. Josie Smith, of Williamsburg, KY., Reed Webb and Mrs. Reba Webb of Knoxville and Mr. W.A. Webb, Roy Webb and Mrs. Walter Fairchilds of Mossy Grove.
