Orville Raymond Butler, 95, of Liberty, MO passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Liberty Hospital. Orville was born June 2, 1915 in Opolis, KS to William F. and Flora Mae Butler. He had worked for as a stockman and receiving clerk on the docks of Ford Motor Company from 1935 until he retired in 1972. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the UAW Local #249 in Kansas City, Mo. He was also a member of the Liberty Street Community of Christ Church, where he served as priest. Orville proudly served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Missouri. He married Ethel Marie Srader and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage until she passed away in February of 2002. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clarence and William, 4 sisters, Olivine, Bertha, Gladys and Fern, a grandson, Jeff Robinette and a great granddaughter, Chrissie Lee Adair.

Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial with full military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
