Barnesboro Star, Thursday, February 21, 1951

John C. Luther, age 69, of Ebensburg, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital, Johnstown.

The funeral was held at St. Benedict's Church, Carrolltown, and interment was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Luther was born Feruary 26, 1882, in Carroll Township, the son of D. A. [Demetrius Augustine] and Mary (Bendon) Luther. He was a conductor on the Cambria and Indiana Railroad for 34 years. He married Mary A. Boslett, who survives with the following children: Mrs. Martin Myers; Mrs. George Krug; Mrs. Clarence Bainey, Jr; and Mrs. Roy James, all of Ebensburg; Mrs. John Sitko, of Colver; Mrs Jack Larkin, of Mass.; and Patricia and John, at home.
He was the brother of: James, Spangler: Demetrius; and Rose Bearer, of Carrolltown.
