Mrs. Alma Hammac, 85, of Eddins Road, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Brewton and she was retired from Landlubber in Frisco City, with 28 years of service.
She is survived by three sons, Terry (Alice) Franklin of Saraland, Johnny (Rhoda) Wright of East Brewton, and Justin Wright of Wallace; two daughters, Sue (Russell) McCurdy of Brewton and Jennifer Wilson of Wallace; five sisters, Dot Mock and Pearline O'Hara, both of Wallace, Lola Baxter of Saraland, and Elsie Creeden and Jean Kendall, both of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Keith McCurdy, Wayne Franklin, Tonya Shergill, Sonya Shipp, Greg Wilson, John Wright and Jason Wright; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bledsole officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Methodist Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
