Abby was last seen on Jan 1st 2011. She was clearly sick, but gave me kisses. She took off for the woods before I could catch her for a vet visit. I think she was saying goodbye.

Abby came to us as a kitten. She was the smallest, but feistiest, of her litter. She quickly became a loving friend of Mimi's; our only other cat at the time. Mimi was like a mother cat to Abby, even when Abby became pregnant with her only litter. Abby gave birth on April fool's day of 2001 to 3 healthy black babies; Sgt Pepper, Jude (passed), and Michelle (passed). She was a good mother, with help from Mimi.

Abby was sweet, a talker, and had attitude. She was not shy about getting her way. She would not back down or be intimidated; she always stood her ground. Even when other kitties came to live with us, she stood her place in the ranks (#2 kitty). Although she really loved the younger kitties, (I think) she got a kick out of showing them who was boss. She always bowed down to Mimi (the Queen) though.

Abby's favorite game was "rescue me". She would shimmy her way up on a roof (or a tree), and then howl until someone got her down. She loved sleeping on the heater vents, playing in paper bags, and hiding in the cupboards. Her favorite food was canned tuna.

Abby's is sadly missed by her human family, and by the other fur babies of the house. Run and play on the rainbow road with all of your friends who are there.

Much Thanks to Ralph for the sponsor!
