Mrs. Marjorie Cookman Smith, 47, 2017 Columbus Ave., died at the home of a brother, Forrest Cookman, at Middletown at 2:45 o'clock this morning after an illness of 3 months.
Mrs. Smith was born in Anderson April 30, 110, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cookman. She had lived here all of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Smith; one son , Thomas Delph, of Anderson; one granddaughter, Deborah Delph; her father John Cookman; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Herkless, Hinsdale, Ill., Mrs. Lois Rariden and Mrs. Martha Mullen, both of Anderson; three brothers, John Cookman of Portsmouth, Ohio; Forrest Cookman of Middletown and Wayne Cookman of Phoenix Ariz.
The body was taken to the Baker Brothers Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10am Thursday by Rev. Lloyd Dellinger. Burial will be in West Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Wednesday.
