Chico Enterprise, Thursday, February 26, 1942: "Mrs. A. Fritter Taken by Death. Word was received here today of the passing of Mrs. Albertina Fritter, age 74, former Chico resident at her home in Santa Rosa this morning following a short illness. Mrs. Fritter was the wife of the late John Fritter of Chico and the family have been residents of Santa Rosa for the past 20 years. She is survived by the following children, Mrs. Anona Beardon of Chcio [sic], Mrs. Loretta Reynolds of Berkeley, Clay Fritter of Monrovia, Calif., Mrs. Celia McCall of Napa and Harold Fritter of Santa Rosa. The body will be returned to Chico for burial and funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Black and Johnson funeral Home."
