Christian Daniel Clewell was born 10 Oct 1796 in Schoeneck, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; one of ten children born to Daniel and Susanna Margareth (Klein) Clewell.

Christian was united in marriage with Hannah Bechtel; parents unknown at this time.

Christian and Hannah were the parents of two sons:

1. John Francis Clavell born 1821 married
2. James Daniel Clawell born 1823 married

Christian passed away 03 May 1896 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the age of 26 years. He was laid to rest in God's Acre Schoeneck Moravian Cemetery in Schoeneck, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
