Mrs. Mary Edith Dack, 88, a resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, since 1984, died on Saturday, January 28, 1995 in the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dack was born on November 18, 1906 to Thomas and Mattie Gilbert Tunmire in Tazewell, Tennessee.
She lived in the Waco, Texas, area for over 60 years before moving to Okmulgee.
Mrs. Dack was a member of the Oaklawn Baptist Church in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reece Dack in 1979.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Martha Fuller and her husband, Rev. Bill Fuller of Okmulgee; two brothers, Estle Tunmire and Lynch Tunmire, both of Waco, Texas; two sisters, Mae Hudson of Waco, Texas, and Loyce Gardova of Sea Side, California; four grandchildren and nine, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 30, 1995 in the Wilkerson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel in Waco, Texas. Reverend Lawrence Matlock, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, officiated. Burial followed the service in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Waco, Texas, under the direction of the Wilkerson-Hatch Funeral Home.
