Dr. Jahial Parmly died at his residence, No. 807 West Twenty-ninth-street, yesterday, after an illness of several months. He was born in the town of Braintree, Vt., Aug. 15, 1807, and came to this City in 1829, associating himself with his cousin, the late Dr. Eleazar Parmly, at No. 11 Park-place. For nearly 40 years these gentlemen held a prominent position in their profession as dentists. After the death of Dr. Eleazar Parmly, in 1874, Dr. Jahial never enjoyed his former elasticity of spirits. In the first of last March he was stricken with paralysis in his left side, since which time his health steadily declined. The deceased was benevolent to the poor, a genial friend and companion, and a decided Christian.
