Mary Lou's sister, Ruby Richardson Smith stated before her death that Hurmon is not buried at Camp Creek Cemetery with his wife, Mary Lou Richardson Smith. Since Mary Lou died at an early age, Hurmon remarried and his second wife buried him at an unknown location. Note reason for no death date on their shared stone. Ruby wanted to redo the stone with only Mary Lou's name but this was never accomplished before her death.
