James Edgar Vest, Sr., 58, 2008 Locust St. SE, died Thursday at 11 p.m. in Decatur General Hospital.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from Guntharp Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Richards, Rev. Billy Stephenson and Rev. Jesse Rogers conducting. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. James E. Vest, Sr., Decatur; one son, James E. Vest, Jr., Hartselle; three brothers, Floyd and Truman Vest, Birmingham; Russell Vest, Philadelphia, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Willis Winton, Mrs. Walter C. Cooksey, Mrs. Lillian Gulmanel, Columbus, Ga.; seven step children and one grandchild.
