--Following funeral rites held at Indianapolis this afternoon for Walter W. Ford, former state editor of the Indianapolis News, burial was made in the local cemetery.
--Mr. Ford, who retired as state editor of the News in October, 1936, because of ill health, suffered a hip fracture in a fall at his home Thanksgiving day, 1937, and complications that followed resulted in death.
--He was born at Wabash and after graduating from Purdue university worked on Marion newspapers, going to Indianapolis in 1922. The widow and a brother survive.
