Mrs. Chris Wrich
Mrs. Chris Wrich died at the farm home, three miles south of Kennard, on last Monday, the 17th. inst., leaving her husband and four daughters, the youngest eight and the eldest fifteen years of age, bereft of her love and tender care.
Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kuhr, now residents of Blair but for many years farm people living north of the Berlin School, where deceased was born in 1877 and grew to womanhood and, in 1899, was married to Chris Wrich. In addition to her husband, daughters and parents, six brothers and sisters, all resident of Washington County, mourn her death.
Funeral service was held at the family home yesterday (Thursday), April 20th. and the body laid to rest in the cemetery at the German hall not far distant from the Wrich home.

Mrs. Chris Wrich, who lives on the old Carsten Wrich place, three miles south of Kennard, died Monday noon of troubles incidental to child birth. She was sick only from the previous Saturday and her sudden death is a great shock to her husband and children, also to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kuhr, of this city. The funeral will be held at the farm home at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, and interment made in the German cemetery in Richland township. She was born on the old John Kuhr farm out near Orum, April 18th*, 1877, and was therefore within one day of being 39 years of age. She was married to Mr. Wrich, March 22nd, 1899, and besides the grief stricken husband she leaves four daughers, the eldest being 15 and the youngest 8 years. She also leave six brothers and sisters, John C.L. Kuhr, who lives out on the old home place with his sister, Mrs. Herman Rahlfs and husband, he being unmarried; Herman C. Kuhr, who lives out on the Perch Compton place just northeast of town; Mrs. Sam Holstein, of Washington, & Lena N**., who lives at home with her parents.

Mrs. Emma Wrich was called to her last home on Monday morn, at the age of 39 years and several days. Having been born in Washington Co., near Orum, April 2, 1877, she was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kuhr, of Blair, and was married to Chris Wrich, November 22, 1899. She leaves besides her husband and four daughters, the eldest of whom is 17 and the youngest 7, her parents, three sisters and three brothers. The funeral will be held from the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'oclock with Rev. Niebaum, of Bennington, officiating. The sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended the bereaved ones.
