died April 25, 1999.

will announce arrangements

DEXTER - Joseph W. McChesney, 71, of Grouse Valley Manor, Dexter, died April 25, 1999, at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cambridge Presbyterian Church with burial in Cambridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with Grouse Valley Manor, Cambridge Presbyterian Church and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.
McChesney was born June 3, 1927, in Kaw City, Okla., to Harry R. and Mae M. (Taylor) McChesney. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1945.
On March 18, 1950, he married Alberta Rowe in Winfield.
McChesney worked as an operating engineer with Cities Service Gas Co., traveling to Missouri and Oklahoma. He spent 19 years in McLouth and working at Tonganoxie before retiring in 1986 at Haysville and moving to Dexter.
