Hawaiian Girl Denies Killing Man
Honolulu, June 29 -- A plea of not
guilty was entered here today by
Mrs. Mary Ann Kekahuna to the
murder of Cid D. Hudgins, Pearl
Harbor naval employee, who was
beaten to death, police say, as
the aftermath of a liquor party,
here a month ago.
Mrs. Chun Gum Dong, accord-
ing to police, confessed that she
and the young girl beat Hudgins
with a crank handle after he as-
saulted the latter. Mrs. Dong has
been confined in a hospital here
since the slaying of Hudgins, suf-
fering from injuries alleged to
have been received in a hand to
hand battle with the man.
