OBITUARY
The Rochester Sentinel

Monday, October 22, 1973

Charles R. RAYMER, 86, former resident of 1005 Monroe street, died at 2 a.m. today in the Canterbury Manor nursing home. He had been a patient two years.

Born July 10, 1887 in Winamac, he was the son of John and Clarissa HICKLE RAYMER. He had resided most of his life in Akron and Rochester. He was a member of the Rochester Moose and Eagles lodges. He also was a member of the First Christian church here.

Surviving are one son, Charles RAYMER Jr., Rochester; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Kathleen) WERTZBERGER and Mrs. Elliott (Belle) BAILEY, both of Rochester; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. One brother and a half-sister preceded in death.

Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. The Rev. Josef PALAT will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
