Agnes Beatrice Dano, age 87, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2002. She was born on February 17, 1915 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
    She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Aurora and belonged to their quilting circle for many years. She retired in 1977 after 25 years with Employer's Mutual Insurance of Wausaw. After retirement, she volunteered at Mercy Center Hospital and enjoyed aqua exercise at the Aurora Y.W.C.A. She is best known for her love and devotion for her family.
    She is survived by four daughters: Janet Bassett of Surprize, Arizona; Marie (Donald) Anderson of Montgomery; Joan (Dr. Joseph) Daw of Aurora; Carol (David) Bodwell of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren: Michelle (Art) Urquidez and Charles Bassett of Phoenix; Eric (Jennifer) Anderson of Naperville; Kristen (Thomas) Ketelhut of Plainfield; Dr. Joseph (Victoria) Daw, Jr., of Oakbrook; Julie Daw of Chicago; Beth (Thomas) Walewski of Mesa, Arizona; Brenda (Douglas) Parker of Phoenix. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren: Ryan Besco, Sarah Urquidez, Drew and Bryn Parker of Phoenix; Jacob and Benjamin Walewski of Mesa; Sonya Anderson of Naperville; Keifer, Garrick and Gretchen Ketelhut of Plainfield; and Joseph Daw, III of Oakbrook. Also surviving are two brothers, Gordon (Ruthie) Jorgensen of Indian Wells, California and Jacob (Eiko) Jorgensen of Shingle Springs, California and several nieces and nephews.
    Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Charles Dano; her parents, Jacob and Marie (Jensen) Jorgensen; her brother Harry Jorgensen; a son-in-law, Howard Bassett; and an infant Daw grandson and an infant Daw granddaughter.
    The family will receive friends from 11AM Wednesday until the funeral hour at 1PM with Rev. Patricia Geisman officiating from The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
    Memorial donations in Mrs. Dano's name may be made to Jennings Terrace or to St. Mark's Church.
