Mr. Albert Wayne "Pedro" Curtright, 68, of Newton passed away at 9:33 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, with Bro. Dale Hood officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery.

Pedro was born on March 13, 1935 in Clay City, Illinois. He married Margaret Rose Martin on January 28, 1956 in Mattoon, Illinois.

Pedro worker for the Newton Community High School as a custodian; worked for Kennedy Elevator for 13 years and later for the City of Newton as a police officer. and for the last 20 years, he has worked for McDaniel Transportation in Newton, hauling fuel and working in the warehouse. He also enjoyed being active in local politics, serving as a Democrat Precinct Committeeman and most recently as a Clerk for Wade Township. He loved to garden, he took great pride in himself on getting his garden out early and sharing the bountiful harvest of all his hard work with family and friends. Pedro was also known for making a friend and striking up a conversation with someone everywhere he went. He was a member of the Central Christian Church in Newton.

Pedro is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret curtright of Newton; son, John (Lora) curtright of Newton; daughter, Mrs. Vicki (Tim) Ferguson of Willow Hill; grandchildren, Mrs. Aubrey (Chris) Bergbower, Travis Ferguson, Clayton and Martin Curtright and Jereth, Angelica and Lisa.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Ellen Harrington, a grandson, Kenton Curtright and a special aunt, Alberta Guerrettz.
