James O. "Jim" "Jimmy" Hoover, 76, of Mabank, Texas, died Thursday, March 25, 2010.
Mr. Hoover was born March 25, 1934, in North to the late Jackson Blease Hoover and Jessie Bell Bolin Hoover.
He had been a resident of Mabank, Texas, for 11 years, formerly living in Gilbert. He owned and operated Hoover Pole Buildings, worked with Appaloosa cutting horses and loved to restore antique tractors. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the North Texas Antique Tractor Club.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Olin Hoover, Wesley Hoover and Fred Hoover, and sister Caroline [sic] Jeffcoat.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Diana S. Hoover of Mabank, TX; three children, Michael Eller, Christopher Hoover and wife Zoe, and Wendy Hoover Shealy and husband Carl; three brothers, Barney Hoover, Ted Hoover and Ronnie Hoover; sister Nancy Hoover Strong; and four grandchildren, Whitney, Lauren, Matt and Johnny.
Arrangements are being handled by Hilliard Funeral Home of Van, Texas.
