She was born October 9, 1915, in Christopher, IL, the daughter of Bartholomew and Oma Jane Arnett Ogilvie. She married Rudolph James Stahlheber in 1933 in Nashville, IL. He died in 1982. A son, Rudolph Bartholomew Stahlheber, also preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Leonard Ogilvie, Robert Ogilvie, and Ernest Ephram "Jock" Ogilvie.
Mrs. Stahlheber was a homemaker. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America where she served as Recorder for 29 years, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Women's Relief Corps, and the Neighborhood Council of Girl Scouts. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader.
Survivors: two daughters, Oma Alice Ann (husband, William) Burris of Springfield and Diana Sue Borger of Oak Grove, KY, eight grandchildren; Jeanne Stahlheber (companion Jeff), Brent Stahlheber (wife, Brigitte), Cynthia Bates, David Burris (wife Robin), Gregory Burris (wife, Vanessa), Alice Marie Chapman (husband C.J.), Laura Milazzo, (husband, Chris), and Kathy Christakes; fifteen great-grandchildren, Brooke and Briana Stahlheber, Joshua Lewis, Jeffrey, Jeremy and Jenny Bates, Tiffanny and Ryan Burris, Alex, Allison and Abbi Burris, Logan and Riley Chapman, Vance and Nathan Christakes, and her first great-great grandchild due in June.
Upon her request, there will be no visitation.
Graveside Service: 1:30 pm, Monday, January 24, 2011 at Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville, Illinois with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
