When my dad Tom Jr. was 2 months old, his parents married and his name was changed to COLLINS after his dad Thomas Collins sr, and his mom's maiden name LAY was dropped.
Dad went by the names: Tom and Mike. Mike I do not know why.
Married: Syletta Taylor,Jan 15 1953 Hendricks County Indiana. They divorced fall of 1965. remained great friends up until dad's murder. Dad or mom never said a cross word about each other to us kids. They never put each other down. They always had kind words to say about each other. For that We are truly thankful and blessed to have had parents like them.

He loved his kids, mushroom hunting,telling TALLLLLL Tales, trading anything and all with anyone. He should of had his own trading post.
Dad was loved by us and is truly missed. It has been 30 years now. You never get over it, you just live day to day and learn to move on.
