Rosemarie Miller, nee Alfermann, 75, Washington, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008, in Washington.


Mrs. Miller, daughter of Rudolph Alfermann and wife Clara, nee Poepsel, was born Dec. 14, 1932, in Washington.

She received her education from St. Francis Borgia Grade and High schools and East Central College.

On Nov. 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to Roy C. Miller at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Mrs. Miller was employed by Ritepoint Inc., Zero Manufacturing Company and Lee Young, attorney.

She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church, St. Francis Borgia Ladies Sodality, St. John's Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and the Franklin County Country Club.

Mrs. Miller was a former active member of the Washington Jaycees Wives and the East Central College Foundation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy C. Miller; one sister, Ruth Ann Schriewer; one sister-in-law, Virginia Mittler; and three brothers-in-law, Wayne Schriewer, Edward Miller and Elgar Mittler.

Mrs. Miller is survived by one son, Chris C. Miller and wife Debra, Washington; one daughter, Sara K. Maune and husband Randy, Washington; two sisters, Jenny Garbs and husband Gustave, Washington, and Kathleen Eikermann and husband Don, Texas state; three brothers, Francis "Sonny" Alfermann and wife Mary Alice, Dennis Alfermann and wife Barbara and Richard Alfermann and wife Barbara, all of Washington; four grandsons, Lucas Miller and Shawn, Larry and Jacob Maune; one granddaughter, Alyssa Rose Maune; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 14, at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington. The Rev. Jeff Knight officiated.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Memorials to St. John the Baptist School or Sheltered Workshop are preferred.
