Services for Alva David Dodd, 78, of Lufkin were held Monday, November 27 at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Dodd was born in Polk County and a native thereof. She had lived in Lufkin since 1940 and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include sisters, Virgie Lee of Nacogdoches and Addie Pelton of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews, including Mary Nell Taylor of Lufkin; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mrs. Alton David of Hortense, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Dodd of Beaumont, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Ruffin of Bastrop, La.
Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Edgar Doff in 1987.
